Standing, walking and sitting postures

Correct and incorrect postures

Especially with daily use of computers and mobile phones, parents may need to give reminders to their children regarding posture.

Adequate exercise

Exercise is good for overall general health and it is encouraged unless it is advised otherwise by the doctor. Regular exercise can benefit back muscles on gaining strength and reduce stiffness at the back. Simple stretching exercise can achieve that.

Avoid uneven heavy weight on shoulders

Need to balance the weights on both sides, the type of bag is important. Such as backpack with padded straps adjusted properly and it is carried on both shoulders.

Any discomfort, or back pain should be noted and inform the specialist at the next follow-up visit.
